Respironics Earns Place on Forbes' List of America's Most Trustworthy Companies

Murrysville, PA, April 10, 2007 – Respironics has been recognized for its financial stewardship and corporate governance practices, earning a place on Forbes’ list of America’s Most Trustworthy Companies.  The medical device maker’s high score of 84 positions it in the top tier with the highest ranked public companies (top score was 88). The list, compiled by Audit Integrity, a data provider to Forbes, bestows honors on 100 companies in the U.S. The firm conducted an analysis of the accounting and business practices of 8,000 public companies to draw up the list. Forbes’ high achievers also performed well in the market. The shares of the 100 on its list had a 33% total return in 2006, double that of the market overall. This is a 2nd recognition by Forbes in 2007 for Respironics. The Pittsburgh-based company graduated to Forbes’ annual roster of America’s Best Large Companies. Prior to earning its first $1 billion in revenues and qualifying for The Forbes 400, Respironics made Forbes’ list of the nation’s best small companies.
